Jacksonville Beach Operating Budget

The City's operating budget is based on a fiscal year that runs from October 1st to September 30th. From budget goals established by the City Council, staff develops an annual budget for Council review and approval. The object of the budget effort is to provide quality services efficiently.

Through conservative budgeting and efficient cost management, the City has achieved a healthy operating reserve. This reserve enables the City to fund recovery costs caused by unforeseen natural disasters or emergencies and to weather normal economic cycles while providing a reasonable level of services to its residents.
