The Jacksonville Beach Police Department offers several programs promoting citizen education and involvement.
The Citizen Police Academy (CPA) is a 36-hour program designed to give participants a working knowledge of the Jacksonville Beach Police Department. Course topics are presented in a relaxed, hands-on environment by police officers who specialize in course subject areas. The CPA is offered twice a year and meets for twelve three-hour sessions.
