Community Response Team
About the Team
The Community Response Team is comprised of one detective sergeant, one corporal, and four detectives. Crime prevention, tracking sexual offenders, and youth/gang-related investigations are specialty areas within the team. This team of detectives addresses special problems such as:
- Illegal drugs
- Vice-related crimes
- Aggressive panhandling
- Serial crimes like armed robberies, smash-and-grab burglaries, etc., that fall outside the realm of traditional investigative and patrol duties.
