Reports
Most documents are scanned and stored electronically instead of on paper. Most of the reports that police officers file are written using an electronic reporting system on the laptop computers in the patrol vehicles. Once the report is approved and transmitted to the server, the Records Section merges the report with the database and completes Federal and State of Florida coding.
