The beach runs east of 1st Street the entire length of our city. Beach Boulevard (US Route 90 or SR-212) is the demarcation of whether a street or avenue is north or south. The main road in Jacksonville Beach is 3rd Street, either north or south of Beach Boulevard. Third Street is also known as FL State Road A1A - Florida’s Historic A1A National Scenic Byway. It is known as 3rd Street from just south of BUTLER BLVD (State Road SR202 or JTB) through Atlantic Beach. Jacksonville Beach streets run north and south; the avenues run east and west.
