With the onset of summer and the increase in visitors to our area, the Jacksonville Beach Police Department would like to remind the public about taking personal preventative measures when frequenting public places.  From mid-May to June 10th, there have been 20 high-end cell phone thefts - mostly iPhone 7 or higher, all while the victims are distracted in various establishments.  The majority of thefts have occurred Saturday night into the early hours of Sunday morning.  While visiting crowded areas, please make sure to secure your valuables close to you and never leave them on a bar or un

The Jacksonville Beach Lifeguards have increased lifeguard staffing levels and hours of operations from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
