Citizen Police Academy - The Adventure Begins

Join the 40th session of the Citizen Police Academy to step into the exciting world of law enforcement.

When:  January 11, 2018 - April 5, 2018

How Often:  Every Thursday night - 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.

Where:  Police Department Squad Room, 101 South Penman Road, Jacksonville Beach

Cost:  Only $25

Changes in Watering Restrictions Begin November 6, 2017

With the return of Eastern Standard Time on Monday, November 6th, the watering restrictions, which are regulated by the St. Johns River Water Management District, change to one day per week.  For more information, click here.

Residents Can Participate in North Florida Travel Survey

Area residents have an opportunity to help improve transportation in the North Florida region.

The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (North Florida TPO) and the Florida Dept. of Transportation (FDOT) are sponsoring the North Florida Travel Survey to better understand residents' transportation needs.  This is important because the information collected in this survey will help improve the regional transportation system and prioritize future transportation improvements.  The survey is currently underway until late November.

Water Meter Replacement Program Begins

As part of our effort to consistently provide quality services for our residents, the City of Jacksonville Beach is undertaking a WATER meter replacement project.  This technology will help us serve you better by providing enhanced customer service, leak detection, automated meter readings and billing accuracy.  All WATER meters will be replaced in the City of Jacksonville Beach and the project is to be completed within 12 months.  The water meter replacement will take approximately one (1) hour to complete, during which time your water service will be inte
