Safe Place

A youth under the age of 18 who is in trouble or a runaway can come to the Fire Department for assistance. The Safe Place Program provides crisis intervention and is an alternative to life on the streets for children under 18 years of age who have run away from home. The Youth Crisis Center operates the Safe Place Program to help distressed children and families get in touch with resources they need to keep them safe and provide them with support and guidance. A Fire Department employee will call the Youth Crisis Center to get the child in touch with a counselor who will offer help immediately.

Station 1 and Station 2 are both Safe Place stations.
