The Blues, Jazz, Rock’n Roll, the Pops, and the Movies!

Jacksonville Beach continues its tradition as the entertainment center of Northeast Florida. Spring and Summer are festival and concert season in this city by the sea. Fans of the blues, jazz, classical music, and movies are just a few of the many who are drawn to the nearly weekly events in Jacksonville Beach that offer family entertainment.

Beginning in March, Jacksonville Beach residents and visitors have an opportunity to enjoy some of the best national and regional bands, all with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean serving as the backdrop. Festivals also feature a variety of arts, crafts and children's activities.

The Beaches Art Fest, is a juried art and fine craft event consisting of outstanding artists and craftsmen from around the country. The jury committee carefully selects only the best work in each category assuring a well-rounded quality art and fine craft festival.

You’ll find everything from exquisite jewelry to funky and functional pottery, abstract sculpture to glistening glass, hand-woven fashions to stunning photography, extraordinary paintings to wonderful wood carvings; this is an art fest you won’t want to miss!

Stretching two city blocks, Pablo Avenue will become an extraordinary outdoor art gallery highlighting the true stars of the event; the artists. Each is available to discuss their work, share their stories and answer your questions. This is the perfect opportunity to explore a wonderful palette of diverse artwork. It is going to be a great event with something for everyone!

Location: Seawalk Pavilion

The Right Whale Festival celebrates the annual return of endangered North Atlantic Right Whales to the warm coastal waters off northeast Florida and Georgia. With as few as 465 remaining, this family-fun event raises awareness of the threats to right whales and how we can help in their recovery. The festival highlights local efforts to protect these whales from extinction, as well as ocean-themed activites and exhibits that emphasize education and environmentally responsible adventures and products.

Celebrate the annual return of the endangered right whale to their calving waters off our coast.  This free event features live music, early morning beach clean-up with Keep Jacksonville Beautiful, children's activities, food, expert speakers, displays promoting water recreation, art and unique gifts for sale, conservation groups, a community art mural, and more.

Friday, October 7, 2016 -

The Jacksonville Symphony will be performing a free Community Concert at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach. Music on the program will include Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, Dvorak's Carnival Overture, and Stravinsky's Orchestra Suite No. 2. Music Director Courtney Lewis will be leading the orchestra.

The Jacksonville Symphony is North Florida's leading music nonprofit offering live performances at Jacoby Hall in the Times-Union Center for Performing Arts and other venues around the City. The Symphony also provides music instruction for youth and operates the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestras.

Fitness Festival

Festival elements will include 54 Exhibitor Booths, a Food Court, Children’s Fitness Area with Blow Up Obstacle Courses, and Three Workout Areas throughout the venue all designed to create a competitive platform for registered athletes to compete and spectators to congregate on the Sea Walk Pavilion and participate in the event.

You are invited to Compete, Judge, Volunteer, or Spectate at the Jax Beach Fitness Festival, October 8th and 9th, 2016 at the Seawalk Pavilion in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This will be our 4th Annual Fitness Competition.

Join Better Jacksonville Beach as they present the Jax Beach Art Walk.  This family-friendly event takes place on the second Tuesday of each month from 5 PM until 9 PM.  Bring your family out to see dozens of great local artists, hear local musicians perform, and visit the participating businesses throughout the downtown Jacksonville Beach area.

The Beaches Oktoberfest is Florida's Largest Annual Oktoberfest. The three day festival held in the heart of North Florida at the Jacksonville Beach Sea Walk Pavilion attracts 45,000-55,000 attendees annually. The family friendly festival boasts a large variety of german beer, performances daily by national performing acts, food trucks, a 110+ ft ferris wheel, arts & crafts vendors, games & activities and so much more. We look forward to seeing you October 14,15 & 16 at this years festival!

Location:  Seawalk Pavilion and Latham Plaza

Whether you want to show off your classic car or you want to admire your neighbor's car, bring your family out and enjoy the Jax Beach Classic Car Cruise.

At 8:30 PM vehicles in the plazas (and anyone else with a classic car) will file out to cruise 1st Street.  Even if you don't have a classic car, come watch as the cruisers show off their rides!

Trunk or Treat - Halloween Food Truck Rally

Free Admission - Family Friendly

Bring your candy buckets and Trick-or-Treat early at Jacksonville Beach's first annual Food Truck or Treat event! Food Trucks from Georgia will be coming down to Jacksonville Beach to go head-to-head with Florida Food Trucks to claim their titles! Will it be the Georgia Bulldogs or the Florida Gators? Come try their food and cast your votes!

In addition to the food trucks, there will be Candy Zones sponsored by different local businesses and companies. Each Candy Zone will have free candy given to those who stop by - No matter what your age!

Walk down the Craft Vendor Isle of over 30 vendors......You just may find something you've been looking for! From jewelry and soaps to company services and more!

What's Halloween without dressing up in costume?! Come dressed and enter the costume contest! There will be a costume contest for Kids (17 and under) and one for the Adults (18 and up). Sign up at the "Food Truck Eats Jax" table!

Let the kids have fun in the Kid Zone! Kids of all ages will have tons of fun with the different activities that will be available for them to do! ($5 per child for unlimited play!)

Each food truck will be creating a small portion of a Halloween-Themed dish. Each one of these dishes will be judged by a panel of expert judges!
