5:00pm to 9:00pm

The City of Jacksonville Beach is pleased to announce the 2019 Jazz Concert Series. The first concert will take place June 9th at the Seawalk Pavilion. Listed are the entertainers who have been selected:

OPENING ACT: Local artist Marcus Click performing from 5:00 PM - 6 PM

As a native of the Bluegrass State, Louisville, Kentucky, Marcus grew up with aspirations of becoming a pro football player, but his goals changed after having committed over 10+ years of his young life to the U.S. Navy. During this time, his love for jazz grew by listening and learning from the late Grover Washington, Jr., David Sanborn, Kirk Whalum, Najee, Dave Koz, the late saxophonists, Art Porter and George Howard.

MIDDLE ACT: Jessy J performing from 6:16 PM - 7:15 PM

Jessy J celebrates a remarkable decade since she brought her sizzling beats, dynamic Latin and samba rhythms and sensual melodies to contemporary jazz via her #1 hit debut album Tequila Moon. Following in the tradition of other jazz greats – including Dee Dee Bridgewater, Pat Martino, Joe Pass and Arturo Sandoval – who have released albums recorded at the historic Oakland venue, the charismatic saxophonist captures the excitement and spontaneity of her live performances with a set list featuring her classic hits and several songs fresh to her eclectic repertoire.

HEADLINER: FOUR 80 EAST featuring JJ Sansaverino performing from 7:30 PM - 9 PM

Four80East is the brainchild of producers Rob DeBoer and Tony Grace, also known internationally for their indie label/production house, Boomtang. Their sound lies at the forefront of what has been called the nu jazz movement – taking the best of contemporary jazz and pop styles and aligning them to produce a improvisational dance-infused sound. Pairing up with Four 80 East will be JJ Sansaverino an outstanding performer who has a “take no prisoners” performance attitude. His musical style is a mix of Smooth Jazz, R&B, World Music, and Fusion, “a la Santana meets Benson.” He has reached millions with his music, touring the world for the past 25 years.

So bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening mixed with beautiful tunes of Jazz! NO PETS ALLOWED.
