Lost & Found Pets

Lost

If your pet is picked up by Animal Control,  it will be taken to the Jacksonville Beach Animal Control Building at 1460 Shetter Avenue and housed in a dog kennel or cat cage. Upon arrival, your pet will be given food, water and weather-appropriate comforts.

Pets that arrive visibly sick or injured may be taken to a local veterinary clinic for treatment. The owner is responsible for all costs associated with treatment and boarding of pets taken to an injured pet center.

Upon arrival  to the Animal Control Building, pets are immediately checked for ID tags and microchips. Ever effort possible will be made in attempt to locate and reunite a pet with its owner. Pets are  held for up to seven days before being transferred to Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services or a rescue.

If you lose a pet, it is important to notify Jacksonville Beach Animal Control as soon as possible.

You can report a lost pet to the Jacksonville Beach Animal Control by using the Missing Pet Registration form below and emailing it to animalcontrol@jaxbchfl.net  .
