By State Statute, Chapter 610, Section 108, as of July 1, 2009, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services have the sole authority to respond to all cable or video service customer complaints.
Cable franchises are now issued by the Florida Department of State, effectively eliminating local franchise authorities.
