Junior Lifeguard Camp
Junior Lifeguard Camp
The Junior Lifeguard program is a one-week, full-day camp for kids 9-15, and is sponsored by the City of Jacksonville Beach and the American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corp. For further information contact Coach Paugh at (904) 860-2175 or the Lifeguard Station at (904) 249-9141.
Because the camp is held at the lifeguard station, the students can view how professional lifeguards handle beach emergencies and day-to-day operations.
The program provides participants with the skills required to apply for employment as a lifeguard when they are 16 years old. Many of our lifeguards have pursued careers as firefighters, police officers, military personnel, doctors, and nurses.
