Boarding Fees

If an unlicensed pet is picked up it will be taken to the Jacksonville Beach Animal Control Building and housed in a special pet area for up to three days. Upon arrival, pets will be given food, water and weather-appropriate comforts. Unlicensed pets are held for three days and are then transferred to the Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services. Any licensed dog or cat committing a nuisance or found running at large shall be picked up by the city or the designated authorized agent of the city and placed in a shelter for a period not to exceed seven days. After seven days licensed animals will be transferred to the Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services.
