Who can obtain a copy of a traffic crash report?: The first 60 days following a crash, reports are restricted and released only to authorized persons. "Authorized persons" include drivers, passengers, owners; insurance companies representing the driver, owner, passenger or property owner; attorneys representing any of the persons involved as stated above; and certain print and media, as per Florida State Statutes.

1. What are the hours of operation for the Jacksonville Beach Police Department Records Section?: Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm and Friday 8 am to noon, with the exception for City of Jacksonville Beach designated holidays.

2. How much does it cost to obtain a copy of a Jacksonville Beach Police report?: A single-sided copy is 15 cents, and a double-sided copy is 20 cents. For extensive paperwork searches and copying, the cost of the Records Section staff person's time is added to the cost of the actual copies.

4. How much are background checks?: Each background check costs $5 per person or address which is researched. Background checks are limited to incidents occurring in the City of Jacksonville Beach.

5. How much are Bar Identification cards?: All local bar employees must have identification cards. They cost $4 each and are only issued on Fridays, from 8 to 11 am, and from 2 to 4 pm, except for City of Jacksonville Beach designated holidays which fall on a Friday.

6. Will you fax a copy of a report?: No, we cannot fax copies of reports.

7. When can fingerprinting be done?: Fingerprinting is currently not available due to social distancing concerns. (Please call the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-2209 for this service.)

8. How much does it cost to have fingerprinting done?: When fingerprinting is available, the cost is $10.

9. Who is eligible to have fingerprinting done at the City of Jacksonville Beach?: When fingerprinting is available, fingerprinting is done only for concealed weapons permits and volunteer positions.
