o a small extent we can, and we are. The maximum occupancy is one of the things the City has somesay in. Staff proposed reducing the total occupancy from 16 to 12 people. While this isn’t a lot, the City is limited by what the state allows staff to regulate. Although the City cannot prohibit a property owner from turning their home into an STVR, we must still be able to reasonably accommodate the amount of people that can realistically use the home at one time. This proposed change will help. We have also proposed to make the registration process easier, in an effort to gain more compliance.
