Description:

The City of Jacksonville Beach is inviting qualified contractors to bid for the construction of watermain, gravity sewer, forcemain, and stormwater improvements as well as streetscaping. The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for the installation of 2,373 linear feet (LF) of 8” PVC (DR-18) watermain by open cut with 53 LF of 6” PVC (DR-18) watermain and 33 LF of 12” PVC (DR-18) watermain by open cut for cross-street connections, 431 LF of 8” FPVC (DR-11) watermain by HDD, 1,821 LF of 16” PVC (DR-14) forcemain by open cut, 645 LF of 16” HDPE (DR-11) forcemain by HDD, 1099 LF of 15” PVC stormwater pipe, 1051 LF of 18” PVC stormwater pipe, 753 LF of 24” PVC stormwater pipe, replacing seven (7) sanitary sewer manholes, and rehabilitation of various sizes of gravity main by Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) and open cut methods including demolition of portions of the existing sidewalk and driveways as well as the demolition of the existing pavement and construction of sidewalks, driveways, and paving.

Qualifications:
Each bid must contain either evidence of the Bidder’s qualifications to do business in the area where the projects are located or covenant to obtain such qualifications prior to award of Contract.

To demonstrate his qualifications to perform the Work, each bidder will be required to provide evidence as to his previous successful contractual and technical experience in similar work including references, description, and volume of present commitments, evidence of possession of, or covenant to obtain prior
to award of Contract, valid state, county, and local licenses covering all operations and all areas of political jurisdiction involved in the Work of this project and such other data as may be requested by the CITY. The apparent low Bidder may be required to provide evidence as to his financial status prior to the project being awarded by the city council.

Contractor must be able to exhibit to the City of Jacksonville Beach that he can perform a minimum of 30% of the total contract work with their own labor work force.
